Quality and country of origin of Tamanu oil Etnobotanika®?
Our cold-pressed 100% pure Tamanu oil is still traditionally hand-picked from the local inhabitants of Polynesia. Worldwide the highest quality of Tamanu oil is extracted from trees that grow in Polynesia. The Polynesian archipelago is very low, so the trees run their roots all the way to the coral reefs below the earth’s surface. The Tamanu fruits therefore have a much higher content of vitamins and minerals and consequently, Tamanu oil from these fruits is up to 10 times better than other areas in Asia, where the Tamanu tree also grows.
Indonesians put the leaves of Taman trees into the water to get the blue liquid that they use to treat their eyes inflammation. They use it also against a heat stroke and to relieve problems with hemorrhoids.
The inhabitants of Papua New Guinea heat the dark leaves over the fire to soften and treat bruises, wounds, bugs, ulcers, scars, pimples and hardened skin. The inhabitants of Fiji use tamanu oil for joint pain, arthritis, purulent wounds and abrasions.
